S&S Truck Parts is a 70-year-old company which sells class 6, 7, and 8 truck parts through a network of strategic distributors. S&S Truck Parts is owned by Investcorp, a private equity growth firm, and is run by the family which started the business; with the focus on continuing the unprecedented growth achieved over the past 6 years.

This position is responsible for the design, development, unit testing, deployment, and production support of business intelligence systems including interfaces, central data warehouse, SSIS packages, dashboards, automated reports, and self-service report portals. As a senior member of the IT organization, this position is also responsible for training and mentoring other developers and power users, supporting enterprise architecture activities, contributing to the development of best-practice materials, and helping to improve software development processes, tools, and techniques. Interaction with business leaders and end users is required, especially in the areas of requirements gathering, project estimations, solution design, solution delivery, and production support.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data warehouse and business intelligence systems to meet defined business needs
- Lead requirements gathering, design, and project planning activities
- Work with users at all levels to analyze business requests and translate into solutions
- Provide production support for business intelligence systems, interfaces, and database systems, including root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and documentation through support tickets
- Administer business intelligence systems including user accounts and access levels, report schedules, production deployments, replication tools, batch interfaces, and database systems
- Keep all BI systems highly available, including after-hours support to resolve production issues
- Manage the capacity and performance of all business intelligence systems
- Manage maintenance and enhancement requests with software vendors
- Attend work regularly as scheduled

Job Skills and Qualifications/Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience architecting, developing, and supporting data warehouse systems, and business intelligence systems in a mid-size or larger company
- 5 years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power BI Reports
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, programming SQL statements, and creating and managing database views
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Integration Services (SSIS), and Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Proficient with Microsoft Azure computing environments
- Proficient developing and supporting self-service report portals
- Proficient with ERP, WMS, and CRM data models strongly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Visio
